If I closed my eyes feeling yesterday's 90 degree air mass, I would picture this scene I took a week ago in Florida.

This is my Monochrome Monday contribution. Enjoy your week and click HERE for more black and white images.

Shapes, Shadows & Light

I couldn't resist posting this image for Monochrome Monday. I captured this inside the McKim building of the Boston Public Library.

The Quincy connection you ask ??? Architect Charles F. McKim worked earlier in his career for HH Richardson, the architect of Quincy's Thomas Crane Library.

Happy Valentine's Day

More than 188 million valentines are exchanged each year.

It's "theme day" in the city daily photoblog community and this month's theme is "shadows." The simplicity of this image lent itself to monochrome . . . the title says it all.

The iron grate work on a red brick building provided some shapely shadows.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
