Boat Impression

I played around with yesterday's image using paint daub effect to achieve a painterly quality.

Yin and yang

I captured this from my backyard and manipulated the scene to bring out the lines and contrasts of the Norway maples.

Snow Chalet

The birds will have to shovel their way into their chalet or wait for a melt.

Sand Painting

I felt compelled to capture these abstract tree roots at Wolly Beach today ~ painted by the most prolific artist, namely "nature".

Lavender & Green

I was surprised to spot these clover-like flowers yesterday at Squantum Park.  I would have thought last week's frost would have done them in.   I like the abstract way they look here with a little post processing.

Rose

The Rose Family

The rose is a rose,

And was always a rose.

But the theory now goes

That the apple's a rose,

And the pear is, and so's

The plum, I suppose.

The dear only knows

What will next prove a rose.
