Snow capped hydrant

This fire hydrant's colors really pop out in the snow. I guess they are painted with bright colors so they can be found quickly when needed. What color are the fire hydrants in your part of the world?

WE don't have them as such. Firemen either carry their own of tap into the source underground.

Clever photo

we don't seem to have them in the newer suburbs of mumbai. and the ones in the older part of the city seem to be pretty much rendered useless. see this pic.

We have mostly red fire hydrants - but ours don't stand out white the way yours do against the bright snow. Nice shot!

It does really pop. Cute!!! Looks like it is wearing a little hat! I nearly wish it was snowing. Nearly.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
