
This conifer on Heritage Drive is loaded with cones. I wonder how long before they fall to the ground and get nabbed by the birds, squirrels and wreath makers.

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.

Lovely photo...I wouldn't be surprised if critters and wreath makers divest the tree BEFORE the cones make it to the ground!
As lovely as they are on the tree, in my neighborhood the critters and the wreath makers don't grab them and I have to keep raking them up. Just when you think you have them all, along comes another wind storm to knock more off the tree.
