Raspberry Lime Ricky Anyone?

This is one of my summer beverages of choice.

What's yours?

I am having fun shooting with my camera phone.

Travel Tuesday: Portsmouth, Rhode Island

This life size giraffe is one of the many creature creations in the Green Animals Topiary Garden.  This whimsical garden is the oldest and most northern topiary garden in the United States and is the backdrop for Chris VanAllsburg's children's book, The Garden of Abdul Gasazi. Take the book out of your local library and bring it with you to read to your children or grand children as you wander around the 7 acre garden finding all the animals in the story.

The Ryan Recreation area was quiet a few nights back.  I am trying out the camera on my new phone.

Daisy Drops

We're having a reprieve from the heat - cool misty days which are to my liking.

One Oar Down

Blacks Creek recreational boating program begins in earnest this week.  I hope someone finds the other oar for this rowboat to work.

Bridging the Gap

The steel vertical lift replacement of the temporary Fore River Bridge is taking shape at an estimated  cost of $244 million.  It is scheduled to open for traffic at the end of 2017.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
