Thursday is "This Old House" Day

This 1912 house at 13 Norton Road in Merrymount has a fabulous wrap-around porch on the street level and a 2nd floor porch over the entryway as well -- my kind of place.

Need A Push?

Foggy days are the perfect time to go to the beach and playground -- no waiting your turn and no crowds.  This is the swing set at Merrymount Beach on a recent foggy morning.

Thursday is "This Old House" Day

Today's 1940 house is located near the Atlantic Ocean on Shore Avenue in the Merrymount section.  That glassed-in porch beckons me and a good book; though it would be difficult to take my eyes off the ever changing bay across the street.  We will be seeing pictures of the foggy bay in days to come.

Thursday Is "This Old House Day"

This 4-family brick residence on Merrymount Road was built in 1950. It appears to be very well maintained and fits in nicely with the neighboring single family homes.

Blue Angle

A blue colored roof is very unusual for Quincy. The shape of the garage roof and the blue shutters caught my eye here on Chickatabut Road. I previously posted a water view of the house you see in the background here.

Evening Glow

I like the welcoming flags at Chickatawbut Beach in the beautiful coastal section of Merrymount.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
