The Church of Presidents is the backdrop for Quincy Symphony Orchestra and Quincy Choral Society as they perform at the dedication of Quincy's newest park appropriately named the Hancock-Adams Common located in historic Quincy Center. 

Porch Fest 2018

Porch Fest 2018:  "Revival" started things off on this Marion Street veranda.   A few rain drops did not dampen spirits of this free grassroots community music festival.

Good Day Sunshine

Quincy's first Porchfest was a huge success with great music and neighborliness.  Chief Noda, from Brockton, Ma., serenaded folks with his unique finger picking guitar style of Beatles music and a beautiful rendition of Amazing Grace.  He played on the stone "porch" of the Wollaston Congregational Church.

Pipe & Drum

You don't often hear bagpipe and drum at Pageant Field.  I followed the music and was treated to an impromptu rehearsal at the Ruth Gordon Amphitheater.  These young musicians were very good at their craft.

The Hills Were Alive . . .

The sounds of Handel and Bach were heard Sunday, on Wollaston Hill, at a special Christmas concert called "Music On The Hill" held at the Wollaston Congregational Church.  The icy conditions outside melted to the soothing sounds of chamber music inside.

You never know who might be out for a stroll at Pope Paul Park.  

Celtic Bells

This was a special memorial program sponsored in memory of Doris Lunn by her family and friends. What a beautiful way to celebrate a loved one's life. Thank you.

Concert About the Sea

The Friends of the Thomas Crane Library provide free concerts for the community like the "Rum-Soaked Crooks" shown here getting ready to perform sea chanteys and maritime ballads.

Music In The Hills

Quarry Hills was the site of an inaugural event "Music In The Hills" concert series featuring Jon Pousette-Dart pictured on the left. WollyStone Productions provided a great night of music which also included "Alive n'Pickin" and "The Full Moon Revue".
