Travel Tuesday: Pawtucket, Rhode Island

Travel Tuesday: Pawtucket, Rhode Island

I was sad to learn today that the "Paw Sox" (Red Sox AAA team) may be leaving family friendly McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket for new digs in Providence. Think baseball - think spring . . .

Rained Out

Monochrome works nicely on this rainy day image taken at Pageant Field.  (Thank you, Clueless, for working your monochrome magic on this.)  Happy Monochrome Monday!

Seeing Red

Baseball season may be over at Adams Field in Quincy, but there's a famous Park north of here that may still have some baseball going on....

Travel Tuesday: Pawtucket, Rhode Island

McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket Rhode Island is home to the Boston Red Sox AAA team.  You can get your Cracker Jacks there and root, root, root for the home team!

Travel Tuesday: Pawtucket, Rhode Island

The Boston Red Sox AAA team, the Paw Sox, play at McCoy Stadium which is about a 45 minute drive south of Quincy.  Compared with Fenway Park, McCoy Stadium offers professional level baseball in an intimate, family-friendly setting at affordable prices.  This image was captured with my new Lumix LX-7 using a creative setting which gives the image an HDR look.

Go Sox Go!

[Click to enlarge] This rock formation is the only outcropping left of the granite quarry where the High Point development was built. Please note that the granite rocks have been tagged with the name "Yaz" . . . hopefully a good omen for the Boston Red Sox Baseball team!

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
