Church Spire

Spire of Bethany Congregational Church in Quincy Center. This spire dominates the skyline from certain perspectives and is noted for its gargoyles. Interestingly enough, the spire was struck by lightning about 10 years ago and one of the four foot gargoyles had to be replaced.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
