Of course banks are friendly . . . they make money with your money.
Pictured here is the main entrance of the Granite Trust Building located at 1400 Hancock Street, where I found yesterday's benchmark. The facade of this bank building was made of Quincy granite, quarried from the same hills that furnished the granite for Bunker Hill Monument in Boston. The brass letters on the walk reads: "An old bank with a young spirit". Aren't the revolving doors beautiful? Tomorrow, I will share the entire facade.

It's very pretty (and friendly, too!)....the stone is gorgeous.
Makes you just want to give them all your money, doesn't it??... ;)
They should cut down on the friendliness, and start doing business more efficiently. The lines are way too long here, and it's because the tellers are too busy conversing with the customers instead of doing their job. Just my 2 cents. LOL.
Beautiful building Slim but I'm afraid a Friendly Bank seems like an oxymoron to me!!!
It looks very nice. You can tell its old. Todays banks say give me your money and I wont charge you much to do it.
You have a knack for finding the gems in Quincy!
I agree with Jules.
Banks give you an umbrella when it's sunny...but don't try to borrow one when it's raining...they won't give it to you!!!
Anyway this building is great kooking ,so are the doors you are right!
I look forward to seeing more tomorrow! I like the doors too, and the lettering in the sidewalk.
Thanks you all for stopping by. Your comments are a joy to read ;)
lone beader - - I don't do my banking there. The Quincy Credit Union fits my banking needs . . . efficient, friendly and low fees . . . good operation.
beautiful building and gorgeous doors. They'd be Art Deco, I imagine?
