H.H. Richardson Desk

It is believed that this desk located in the Richardson wing of the library was designed by American architect H.H. Richardson, and was part of the original furnishings of the Billings Library (also designed by him and built by the University of Vermont in 1886). The desk was graciously donated to Quincy's library in 2002. The stained glass window you see in the background is by John LaFarge. Imagine all the thoughts and ideas that have been written on this surface.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
