Summer in the Creek

Sailboats are anchored in Black's Creek estuary and are used in Quincy Recreation's sailing program during the summer. Long Island Bridge can be seen in the background.

Today's photo brings back thoughts of my youth. I learned to sail here myself, close to 50 years ago. My children have since also learned this great skill at this site.
As you know this was once Adams family property donated to the city for the enjoyment of it's citizens.
I enjoy your photo's and your blog immensely, keep up the good work.

This is such a pretty place. So calm, serene... I could love to be there.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
