This 1876, Queen Anne home on Highland Ave., is painted in two colors, typical of the houses from that period. I really like the wrap around porch. If you click and enlarge the photo you will see the porch rail with cutouts that look like umbrellas.

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.

It is a nice looking house. I have always wanted to own a house with turrets where you could climb up there and sit in a rocking chair, read and book, watch the traffic and sip on some coffee.
This is such a great collection of photographs.I love your Thursday house days.
Is the top really painted or natural shingle color?
I would not have noticed the umbrellas if you had not mentioned it! great woodwork detail!
Marvellous photo of a gorgeous house. They just don't make them like this anymore.
What a pretty house. Lots of nice details there!
