Sign of Spring?

These National Park Rangers are pruning the fruit trees on the grounds of the Adams National Historic Park. The tree they are working on has a bad split in it from a lightning strike. There are cables holding it together until it dies a natural death.

I hope this is a sign of spring. I've been seeing a lot of this type of action around my home also.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
