To ease overcrowding on the Red Line train from Quincy to Boston, a couple cars have been reconfigured without seats.

I ride the Ashmont line and I still haven't seen a single one of these! I wonder if they're only running on the Braintree trains?

back home,it would be impractical in the philippines to have train cars without seats, the first thing that commuters want is a seat.

Interesting way to solve the problem. I may be open to that more than having a bus just pass me up as it often does in Pittsburgh.

That seems horrible since you have to stand regardless of if it is "over crowed or not. Yikes.

Wow... I guess I've been away from home for too long.. I had no idea.... wish they would just run more trains. I'm living in Korea now, and the train comes ever 1-5 minutes. Makes standing around for 15 mins on a sunday for the red line seem like some backwards civilization...

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
