Sidewalk Expression

I saw this face looking up at me as I looked down at the walkway just outside the Marshalls Store on Newport Avenue. I couldn't resist stopping and capturing this palm sized, whimsical aberration in the pavement. People entering and leaving the store must have thought I had lost my mind photographing the pavement . . . you've got to wonder. I might have to make this my new avatar.

Those people usually do think of that as crazy, but see I always like to think of "those" people as the ones who aren't really having as much fun as "we" are in life. Life doesn't need to be so serious all the time. So, major props for seeing outside the box, seriously!

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
