Theme Day: Glass

It's first of the month and for the community of City Daily Photo Bloggers that is synonymous with "Theme Day". Glass is the theme this month. This photo was taken at the North Quincy Train stop. Click here for a previous station view. I've always liked these glass building blocks.

Don't miss seeing how others interpreted this theme:

I like glass block construction too. I've read they are good for energy/insulation reasons too. Nice capture.

I ahven't seen this thick
block glass for years, usually British pubs. Always liked the distortions you get. Nostalgic choice for me.

I too like the glass blocks used architecturaly at the North Quincy T station. They do give wonderful distortions of light and people.

Perfect composition with a man waiting for a train, behind the glass block.

I've seen a few glass posts today, but this is the smartest! Looks like an abstract painting. Great stuff.

The colors in this are reminescent of a Monet painting.

I love these blocks! I used to have a house that had these blocks in one of the rooms and I loved them. These are great!

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
