Thursday is "This Old House" Day

This beautifully restored Victorian is located on Grandview Avenue in the Wollaston Hill section. The porches are magnificent as is the historic beech tree located to the right of the home. If you click and enlarge the photo, you can see a patch of the blue Atlantic Ocean from the back of the house. This was taken just before sunset.

What a glorious house and setting and you've caught it in that magical light. It almost looks as if the house is posing with is chin up and out, the epitome of dignity. Nice catch.

I like how you post ONE picture. To me, that is amazing! I am a picture taking fool and could never and have not ever been able to pick just one!!

Love the photo and the house. I am sure the view from the back is fabulous, as well.

Trust me, T Lee, it is very difficult to pick the ONE that is the essence of what you are trying to impart. Once in a while I have to post TWO to accomplish this. When signing on with the Daily Photo Blog Community I had to agree to post just ONE every day.

Beautiful Home. Your photo made me want to be sitting on the porch drinking lemonade in the spring.

What a stunning house. You don't see many porches in London, I fell in love with the houses in Newport, Maine and Halifax when I visited while working on cruise ships. All the best!

Just gorgeous house. And my favorite show. I've been watching since the very first project in Dorchester Heights!

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
