President John Adams was born in 1735 and raised in this weathered New England "salt box" farmhouse on Franklin Street. He spent his young married life here with his wife, Abigail. This modest house also served as John Adam's law office, where along with Samuel Adams and James Bowdoin, he wrote the Massachusetts Constitution on which the U.S. Constitution was modeled.

I see this house in person. I loved living in North Andover when I was a kid. MA has much history and really cool places to go and see. Great Picture.
This is a beautiful shot. You can almost imagine the sense of pride they must have felt when their horses pulled up to the homestead...that wonderful moment of coming home.

Deacon John Tudor's son was an apprentice/law clerk to John Adams - this was of interest to me as he is one of my relatives. I liked seeing the house where he likely worked! (I believe Deacon John is buried in the Old North Church burial grounds.)
Thanks for your photo!
The simplicity in this house is remarkable.i love it.
