This 19th century home at 103 Greenleaf Street is one of the most important Italianate homes in Quincy. This L shaped compound is complete with a granite foundation, angled bays and arched windows in the gables. Not seen in this photo is the remarkably well preserved low granite wall that frames the entire property.

Nice photo, I also have always admired this property.
I like that creative shutter treatment. Those bays must be beautiful inside.
It is a beautiful house. I have walked by there many times.
Another lovely house. i could easily live in this one too!
hm, "italianate house" - you must tell me more about this.
Thank you all for visiting. Italianate was part of "Victoriana" style in America from 1840-1880s. There's a good description here: http://architecture.about.com/od/periodsstyles/ig/House-Styles/Italianate.htm
Brackets under the roof line were just one of the prominent features of this style.
