Fog and Steel

The Fore River bridge connects Quincy with the neighboring coastal town of Weymouth. The vertical lift bridge looks a bit eerie as the late afternoon sun penetrates a fog bank. Click here to view more "Monday monochromes".

Really deserves enlargement - looks fabulous then.

Love the geometry of this shot. Also glad I scrolled down to see your shifting sands. Recently, I realized how great the horizon shots are when you all plenty in the foreground. I've been overdoing the sky portion, always looking for something to use on skywatch Friday. Such a diverse "portfolio" here!

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
