The summer footwear craze was captured here on a train ride into Boston. These flimsy sandals called flip flops or thongs, come in an array of materials, colors and adornments. They are fun to wear for a short time but they can be the cause of foot pain and foot injury. I hope this couple is headed straight to the beach where they can enjoy the feel of the sand between their toes. Do you have a pair? What color?

Nice one, the dress seems to give it a 'happy' feel. I lived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaya, in the 1962 before I joined the RAF; we wore flip-flops all the time, but the damned things were hard to keep on when your feet got hot. Haven't worn them since.
LOL that looks like a picture right out of Hawaii. Needless to say I have sand everwhere and slippers? what ever fits wear IT is my mantra =0)
Not a big flip-flop fan. I don't like the feel of the thong between my toes. But I do like this photograph.
Ya, the footwear is great, but the dress steals the show. Nice candid moment.
What a nice photograph!
Colorful, sharps, good composition and "A REAL SUMMER FEEL"
Well seen and well done!;-)
I love flip-flops! I have two pair, one set about to be thrown out because of use and a new pair. I wish I could wear them more. The best part about flip-flops is they protect your feet as you walk across the hot road or sidewalk and they are easy to flip off to play in the grass, water or sand. The down side, ugly toes! Some people should be embarrassed.
I have about 7 different pairs in all colors and patterns! It's practically California state law to wear flip-flops! ;)
I can't wear flip flops, its the bit in between the toes that drives me mad!!
Can't wear them either but I would mind the beach outfit or so I hope!!
I have a red pair that I only wear to the laundry room or out on my deck. I supposed I could wear them to the beach too.
I have a pair of black with red ribbon :o)
for such as simple picture it evokes some strong feelings of summer, beach, relaxation and holidays in Miami.

I gotta go as i need top dream about South beach, Miami!
