That train's a comin . . .

[click image to enlarge] I really like the way the wildflowers grow along the train tracks in the summer. This Red line train is approaching the Wollaston station heading towards Boston.

Love TRAINS and their toot toot

Have a great Saturday!

Love this one, either coming or going. The juxtaposition of the machine and the gentle swaying flowers, as it passes, works for me.

There's something in the curve of the train's roof that is so sensuous. It is almost a living thing...and afterall, it is the alewife train. Great shot.

Back in the 60's, while stationed in Boston in the Navy, loved riding these. Thanks for the memory.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
