This is Dave Forsyth, one of the friendliest and most helpful bike shop owners I have had the pleasure to know over the last couple of decades. Dave has owned and operated Dave's Bike Infirmary on Granite Ave. for 32 years; he has added two sons to his team of bike experts. You can see his web site here. I wish the roads were safer for bicyclists around here.
Do you bicycle much?

my bike is what i colorfully refer to as my "family car" - so i really wish the infirmary was a mite closer to me over here in washington state!
Bike a lot! It's wonderful to have someone you know and trust who's been in business a long time...
We've got a good bike shop here, too, for which we are grateful.
Nice portrait of a nice man.
What a small world. I also have known Dave and his kids that long. I have also bought several bikes from that shop. It would be next to impossible to find a nicer family.
Nice photo, as always.
It does look like a friendly face.
You should post bigger photos. They are so good! It was a pleasure to visit your blog.
Isn't it great that someone can own their own business for so long. I assume it must be something he likes or he wouldn't have ever stuck with it so long. My grandfather owned his own lumber and building supply company for many, many years and just loved it. Wonderful photo of a man in his element and his happiness.
