It was the screened porch that first caught my eye on this 1935, gambrel roofed house at 155 Sherman Street in the Wollaston section of Quincy. The columns and porch give this house some charm. I bet there are some nice details inside as well, like hardwood floors, glass door knobs, brass hardware, and maybe French doors.

I love the way they decided to put columns on the porch, but I can't help thinking they are a little 'grand' for the porch.
I think the columns are just right. And I bet you're correct about the details inside. Don't you wish we could go inside all of the houses we admire.

It was something I dreamed to have on a hot summer or Fall day and I finally have it!!
Very nice. I like the idea of what might be inside. Do many houses of this age still have those (what I guess are) original details?
