Fall Plumes

These astilbes certainly make for a great splash of fall color in a front yard on Newport Avenue.

You really seem to be getting the saturated colours at the moment. Nice one.

So colourful.

I don't think they are Astillbe though. I'm pretty sure they are Celulosia - Prince Of Wales Plumes (named after the things in the hats)

Thanks for that information, Marley. They are very colorful things to wear in one's hat . . . if one wears a hat.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
