Rose

We still have some roses growing in sheltered areas. Monochrome helps the eye to really look at the intertwined paper thin petals of this marvelous creation. Do you miss the color?

Beautiful shot; this has to be one of your best images.

I normally don't like blooms in b&w, but this one really works well.

No, I don't miss the color. I like textures also.

How can we miss the color when you give us so much gorgeous detail to appreciate?

Lots of shape and texture to work in B&W. Not always the case.

I can give it a different color each time I look at it!

No I do not miss the color of the rose. Fantastic image because one looks at each petal of the rose instead of how red or orange or yellow the rose is. Nice job!

Amazingly beautiful shot. Wish it was crimson red though.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
