Ridge Top Reunion

Pigeons gather on the ridge top of a building across from Wollaston Train Station. (Click image to enlarge.) I've always wondered why they do this before a storm. Does anyone know?

It's Monochrome Monday and you can see some great black and white images by clicking here.

They are figuring out which overhang they will hang out in when it rains.

Like homing pigeons, they have a one track brain for this particular spot when it rains!

Odd Fellows Hall!

Maybe they are the chow line for one of the local hawks. One can only hope. Very nice rendering of the building. Very nice.

Oh BW . . . you are sharp. I forgot that this was once an Odd Fellows Hall. I bet if that white vinyl siding was peeled back "Odd Fellows Hall would be revealed.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
