Snowy Outcropping

I liked how all the elements came together in this image for Monochrome Monday. Click here to see more black and white images from around the world.

A really good b&w shot, nice to see white snow, so many people leave it grey. Also, nice detail in the sky, something I frequently fail to achieve. Must get some filters.

Hey "Slim"

I discovered your wonderful blog because we are Monocrome neighbors. We posted just after you. What a great slice of life you present with your city daily photo site. What a good idea to make sure you post a house a week. Today's photo could be Alaska or Colorado. So majestic!

Like this? Where is it taken?

It was taken in Squantum, a tightly-knit peninsula community known for it's upper middle class status and love for The Clash.

I was just there Saturday! Funny how you make it so pretty yet there's tons of broken glass everywhere.

The elements only came together because you have an artist's eye. Fabulous shot. Needs to be printed, framed and hung.

Well done.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
