People's lives along Alrick Road are far from normal after mopping up from last week's flooding rains. People living here sustained huge losses and we had 2 more inches of rain yesterday to add to this soggy mess.

Ugh. What a mess to endure. However, that green door is a very cheerful note!
My heart goes out to all those struggling through this.
I live directly across the street from these houses and I never thought I would find myself saying I feel lucky to have had only 5 feet of water in my basesment, a basement that has never had a drop of water in the 60 years the house has been there. Water forcing itself through a tiny crack in the concrete basement floor was heart stopping.
