Three days of steady rain in excess of 9 inches filled in back yards, basements, playgrounds, streets and worse. Many residents near here had to be rescued from their homes. It's a good thing that storms like this one happen only once every 25 years or so.

Seems to be extreme weather everywhere this year
Wow, what a mess! We have had unusual rain in GA too and the river next to our drive, which formerly had only flooded once in a blue moon and the last time 1994 has flooded over our drive three times just in the last few months.
How did you make out?
I graduated from crutches to cane yesterday. I see the doc on Friday but I'm fairly certain the trip to Boston is still on. I'll let you know.
Eek. I'm so sorry you had to experience this kind of flooding. Hope no one got hurt and that you and your loved ones are okay, Slim.
OMG! Hope everything's fine out there now....

Clueless & I are perched well above sea level so we fared pretty well with just some cellar seepage . . . thanks for your concern, BC, Hilda & Kcalpesh.
Luckily I didn't have to worry about that where I live, but I know plenty of people who were flooded out!
What misery....someone's basketball goal isn't getting much use, I fear!!
I have a friend on Alrick that was flooded out. In the past neighbors have flooded, but they have always escaped. But not this time. The basement was full, but "fortunately" did not make it up to their first floor living space.
A fine play on words, Slim!
