HaH! I am tossing up the plate under a sewing machine OR the plate under a stapler. I will go with the latter. Very good shot of it.

I agree with Julie, it's the plate under the stapler.
You are sharp observers one and all; I expected no less. Yes it is a my stapler's strike plate with the two options which make a great face. I wonder how many people have ever change the plate around and use the other striking mode.

I've never really looked closely at my staplers before and they do have a little face on the plate! Good picture, it was a mystery image for me!
