I've been told I have lived ofter on Nut Island.
Ha! Very funny, Birdman. I think we've all been there ;-) You've got me wondering how this place got it's name . . . perhaps some research is in order.
I haven't found out how this former island came to be called "Nut Island", but I now know that is was once called "Hough's Tomb" and at another time called "Hoff's Thumb." There's got to be some stories to go along . . .
I can't imagine living far from the coast at all. Tried it once. Felt lost and rudderless.
