June Theme Day: The Beauty of Decay

It's the first of the month in the City Daily Photo community.  These antediluvian volumes show their age so beautifully.  I'm sure there's more beauty to be found in the words contained within.  Please visit other interpretations of today's theme by clicking HERE.

Fabulous post. One of my favourites so far but then books will always do it for me, however tattered they may be.

Indeed, fabulous, old books are always full of sentiment and seem to have lots to tell.

This is soooo pretty.
For me it looks like some I saw in a bookshop in Paris.

Those wonderful volumes of literature surely must be very fragile. I like how you have framed your shot. (I wonder if I have been to Quincy. A little research is required starting with a map. Cheers.)

Beautiful image of decaying books in the monastery library. Great choice.

This just says "Paris" to me... love the washed out look of the books, ancient! I hope that these are all yours.
