Cemetery Comes To Life

Retired Quincy teacher and local historian, Steve Cantelli, recently gave a tour of St. Mary's & Hall Place cemeteries pointing out prominent granite workers from the neighborhood, veterans, civil war heroes, a former mayor, famous architect, Soloman Willard,  the Bunker Hill Monument, and even a famous boxer,Jack Kilrain to name a few of the people laid to rest here.  He also pointed out some very curious grave markers like the one below.  This talk was part of Quincy's Environmental Treasures program.
