"Watchfulness"

This rooster weathervane made by Charles Cushing has been perched atop the steeple at Wollaston Congregational Church for the last century.  The cock has been used as a symbolic feature of Christian architecture throughout the Christian era; New England made liberal use of them.
Happy 138th Anniversary to Wollaston Congregational Church!

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
