Johnny Depp Was Here
This apartment building at 6 Gilson Road was recently turned into Whitey Bulger's 16-year hideaway in Southern California for the film, "Black Mass," which will be released in 2015. Johnny Depp stars as Whitey Bulger, the Boston-Irish crime boss and leader of the Winter Hill gang. (The apartment building was built in 1963, for my Thursday Old House followers.)

For a old house it is still in pretty good shape.
Do you have photos with the imported palm trees?
Elenka would love to 'visit' here.
Dag - No, I missed the set with the "high maintenance" palm tree imports. I read that they watered them for hours each day -- do you think they used as much water as is left in Lake Mead?
I lived at 6 Gilson for 3 years when I first moved to Quincy in 1979. I loved it there. I believe that it was built in 1959. It was owned by the Quincy family when I lived there.
