Cruising

This young Great Blue Heron silently passed by me on my walk along the Neponset River.  The light wasn't ideal but I couldn't resist grabbing a quick shot.  I like the tip of the heron's wing skimming the surface of the water.

Awesome picture. I grew up in Quincy Point and now that I live out of state, I have really enjoyed your pictures. Although I wasn't sorry last winter with all your snow!

Nice to hear from you Karen and glad you can visit Quincy, virtually. I will head to "the Point" in the near future and see what presents itself. I grew up in Wollaston but lived on Avalon Beach for a short while.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
