Foley Chrysler Car Dealership closed its doors about a year ago after 50 years in operation. Consolidation is putting small family-owned dealerships out of business, south of Boston. I wonder what business will move in next?

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.

That is heart breaking. A friend of mine in Cheyenne had to close his drugstore/pharmacy. It was in his family for generations, even before the state of Wyoming joined the union (or however you say that). A Walmart just moved in the area, offering services for peanuts. So he chose to close his business while it was still in good shape. Can you believe that? Sometimes you wish that institutions like that could be landmarked.
