We received a pretty new 6 inch blanket of snow today; enough snow to close schools. If only the snow would stick on the trees and rooftops longer and maintain its pristine appearance . . .

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.

Thanks so much for posting on my blog! I'm so happy to read that you are a Freeman Patterson fan. I may be going to a workshop of his in Windsor, Ontario this year. A friend from my website Photography Cafe is having him come for a weekend. His name is Don Martel and a great photographer and a good friend.

Where did you take that shot from? You were not standing on the roof of your house, were ya???
I too love Freeman Patterson's work, btw.
You are lucky. I would like seeing snow
Lovely!
