Icy waters

Winter is maintaining its grip on us in Quincy. This is an icy inlet in the Houghs Neck section of Quincy. From my unscientific observations, air temperature has to be at least 10 degrees below freezing for a couple days before we start to get nice looking ice formations along our saltwater estuaries. Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
