This view of the State Street South office complex is taken from the banks of the Neponset River in Boston in a recreational area that used to be a Drive-In movie theater. Does anyone know if there are any Drive-in movie theaters around?

The closest one I know is in Mendon:

Yes, there's a drive in theatre on the west side of East Gwillimbury (Ontario, Canada)just before you enter the community of Holland Landing on Mount Albert Road.
I'm surprised there still IS a drive-in theatre in this state. They are a dying breed of Americana.
Slim, there is also a drive-in on the Cape (Wellfleet) as well as Mendon, MA. (In NH there is one in Laconia.) The drive-in in Mendon has a snack bar that was featured on "The Phantom Gourmet" I went last summer and the food/snacks are great!
Those grasses against the water and that sweep of river - just lovely.
We still have them in Maine! But, that probably doesn't help you much. Kind of a long drive to see a movie... ;-)
Those reeds bring a buccolic touch to the offices.
Thank you all for stopping by and commenting. I think I will start a list of Drive-Ins. I bet they would be fun to photograph.
Crittoria- I like visiting Maine and would be interested in knowing where your Drive-Ins are.
Tricia- did Phantom visit any other Drive-Ins?
Eliane- I like that word "buccolic" what is it in French?
I've been walking over at JPII park a lot lately, I love it!
That State Street building has always confused me a bit - it's just plopped down in the middle of nowhere! It seems funny to see it sitting there all by itself.
