The Adams Mansion

"Peacefield", begun in 1731, also called Old House, was home and farm of President John Adams and family. It is part of our country's National Park Service and tourism is expected to exceed a half a million people this year due to the HBO miniseries, John Adams. I haven't tired of visiting and photographing this magnificent site in different light and different seasons.

It is gorgeous indeed. Haven't watched that miniseries yet (I will when it comes on DVD - I don't have tv). But I just saw Founding Fathers from the history channel, so this was perfect to refresh my memory.

Beautiful capture! This home reminds me of what people would probably picture of an idyllic American home.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
