This relief depicts hard manual labor and is located outside a doorway of the Thomas Crane Library in Quincy Center. Today's holiday, honoring working people, is celebrated by the U.S. and our Canadian neighbors. Aristotle said this about labor: "The end of labor is to gain leisure." Happy Labor Day everyone!
