Thursday is "This Old House Day"

This California style Bungalow was built in the late 1910s by William H. Sullivan. Beautifully sited overlooking Quincy Bay, this house is a fine bungalow residence with Californian and Iberian influences. This is a uncommon style house for Quincy. The two most dominant and unusual features are the red tile roof and the arcade fronting the house which gives the house its Mediterranean flavor.

This is a beautiful house. I love beautiful older homes. I sometimes wish someone from where I grew up (Quincy Illinois) would start a blog site. There is a never ending supply of great old homes in that city.
Yes, I immediately thought Spain!
Ouch... this one is really out of place. I want to say that it is a bit gaudy too, but that might get me in trouble. Your picture and description is very nice though. And it is interesting to see and learn about the different styles.
I think of Tuscany!!!
