Thursday is "This Old House Day"

This simple style colonial revival house, also referred to as "American Four Square", is a fine example of many of the homes built in Quincy during the 1930s. The porch on this red house looks so inviting.

Before I read yor text I thought to myself that this, to me, is what I would call an American house. It looks a really nice one.

What a beautiful home. I grew up in a "big old" house and have a fondness for such. I'd love to curl up in the wicker chair and read.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
