This mansardic cottage at 77 South Central Avenue, with its awkward square central tower, is a interesting component and one of the oldest houses in the Wollaston Hill neighborhood. Built in the 1870s when the French "Second Empire" style was in vogue, this house, by means of using a "French" roof and richly decorated bay windows achieved a certain stylistic look.

Summer Attraction

This tiger swallowtail butterfly was a delight to see pollinating the phlox bed along my driveway.
