This newly refurbished apartment building on Granite Street is one of Quincy's earliest apartments. The rich blue-gray color and contrasting white trim really plays up this handsome colonial revival structure and makes it stand out against its surroundings. I am still researching this one and will post any findings.

That blue-gray is one of my favorite colors for houses,these days,with the white woodwork of course!
I envy you living around such beautiful architecture. One of my favorite pastimes used to be to walk through neighbourhoods in the older districts just to soak it all up. Now I live in a small town that lost much of it's older buildings through fire or neglect. Your pictures speak to me on such a personal level. You have the gift of sight and the ability to make it come alive.

The color of that house is amazing. I also love the combination of blue and gray. It reminds me of the ocean.

I lived there in 1992 - back when it was old mint green vinyl. It looks great! The upper level apartments were on 2 levels, lots of space, and the location was great. They were renting for $750+ utilities back then.
