Some people take the ferry to George's Island to go beach combing. I wonder what treasures this beach comber has found today?
Special shaped rocks and beach glass are two of my favorite things to find at the beach. Do you comb the beach for treasures?

When we were kids, too long ago. My older brother used to find things all the time. He found an arrow head once at the Moswetuset Hummock and another at what we called treasure island, now known as Caddy park. He saved the one from treasure island but reburied the one on the Hummock. He felt that the hummock was sacred Native American ground.
All I ever found was beach glass, a class ring, some pocket change and some very old square nails. Still it is always nice to walk a beach.
over here on the other side of the states i like to gather a few starfish that have left their shells behind and hope to see a dragonfly prancing in the sky while i do so
Yes, I DO comb beaches for beach glass and pebbles. Lake Ontario is great for that but maybe not as wonderful as the Atlantic Ocean.
In Maine we used to gather 'mermaids' tears,' little pear-shaped bits of sea-polished glass in green, amber, blue.
Lovely spot. I used to like finding shells and crabs at the beach :)
In Florida, I've never seen beach glass, so we look for special shells...We have a huge jar full of a variety of shells...very pretty.
This looks like a wonderful place to just lay about...
I pic up trash off the beach here on Oahu and you would be surprised how many cameras and other things are left behind.
I like to look for old bits of porcelain or sea glass, but they are almost impossible to find these days!
