Roxie's is a one of a kind meat market that has been a fixture on the Southern Artery since 1957. I like the guy that stands in the back of the store with a sharpie making markdowns but the store odor is more than I can bare.
I've been observing this vintage sign in different lighting situations and I think the evening sky shows it off the best. If you click and enlarge it you'll notice a crane sticking our behind the left sign post. That is the building site of the new Quincy High School.
The first of the month is "Theme Day" in the City Daily Photo Blog community. Click here to view thumbnails for all participants and ENJOY!

Works against the night sky; I'll pass on the atmosphere.
Great sky. Interesting sign. But what I love most are those two boys, boys of summer, sitting on the curb.
I love this shot!
I thought it was a sign for a bar at first! Great for theme day :)

wonderful colors and you are right, this time of the evening makes almost every photo, that much better.
